Wedding Vows to Include Step Children
2) Vows that include children may be between only the bride and the
groom, with the children standing nearby, or the children may have
their own vows to recite, too. Consider modifying one of the following sample
wedding vows including children for your own wedding ceremony:
One thing to note is that you do not want to mention becoming a new father or
mother in the vow - unless the children themselves bring it up. You do not want
to give children the idea that you are there to replace their former parent,
however the parent was lost (divorce, death, abandonment, etc.).
